On 5th of September 2023 Latvian Transport accident and incident investigation bureau has welcomed and provided administrative support for Swedish and Estonian maritime safety authorities in framework of commenced and ongoing investigation activities (Preliminary Assessment) in connection with the 1994 accident by ferry 'Estonia'. Representatives from Sweden and Estonia conducted investigation activities in Latvia, as well as have delivered summary about ongoing activities to Latvian colleagues.
